Voucher holders’ update 19-3-2020

19th March 2020

STRETFORD FOODBANK UPDATE   19-3-2020

Referral Agencies’ Update

As you will appreciate, in order to maintain a service throughout this crisis, we have had to adapt and operate differently.

As from Tuesday, we will be running on minimum staffing levels in order to maintain a reserve of healthy volunteers.

Opening hours are 10-30am 13-15pm Tuesdays and Fridays. We’ll have minimal contact with the public and we have already closed the Cafe. When we can, we will operate outside in the open air.

PLEASE NOTE, WITH EFFECT FROM NEXT WEEK 31ST MARCH WE WILL BE GIVING OUT BOXES* PLEASE ADVISE ALL VOUCHER HOLDERS THAT THEY WILL HAVE TO THINK ABOUT HOW TO GET THEM HOME. WE ADVISE USING A CHILD TROLLEY OR SIMILAR OR A CAR IF POSSIBLE.

WE CANNOT PROVIDE A DELIVERY SERVICE.

As in the past, a professional or friend can redeem a voucher providing they are in receipt of the Red voucher or an E-voucher number.

Please remember we operate to support those in genuine need. Please help us by thinking carefully before handing out vouchers. We’re uncertain how long our stock levels will last and the trustees envisage this situation will get worse before it gets any better.

Thank you for working with us at this difficult time.

The trustees.

* We will be making up prepacked boxes. Single pack (one box) and a Family pack (two boxes) .

Depending on the size of the family will determine how many boxes they will get.

Currently, boxes are 12”x12”x18”.

We cannot provide a choice for dietary needs so we are providing a normal diet including meat and fish and a vegetarian option. This can be requested on site.
